HyperTerminal is included with Windows NT, 2000, and

steps:

START
- Click on
RUN
- Copy and Paste
the Following Line into the RUN window::

The HyperTerminal
installer will prompt you to insert your Windows XP

installation will complete.
If you are running
a version of Windows which does not include HyperTerminal,
or if you do not have the Windows CD, another option
is to install the "Private Edition" of HyperTerminal,
which is free for personal use. You can download HyperTerminal
Private Edition here.
